Africa THE ENVIRONMENT OF ANCIENT AFRICAN CIVILIZATIONS The surroundings is an extremely consequential factor in determaing the developement of a civilization. It can help chuck out a civilization or impede it. In antediluvial Africa, the environment affected the different civilivations, such as the Sahel, the Wagado imperium and the Mbuti of the Ituri Forest.
